Wooden Eggs

Celebrating new beginnings
Intriguingly, the origins of Easter eggs predate Easter itself. People dyed eggs at the beginning of Spring in order to celebrate the reawakening of nature. The egg, a symbol of life to come, was adorned with decorations reminiscent of nature’s fertility, such as plant or solar motifs.
To capture this symbolism, and to honour this beautiful tradition, our eggs have been decorated in a delicate floral pattern.
Our eggs are approximately 7cm high and 4.5cm wide. They have a flat base, and can stand upright.
They are available in 4 base colours - Mint, Olive, Peach & Bluebell. Please refer to Image #3 for reference to each egg design.
Each Egg comes in a handmade cotton drawstring bag for safe keeping.
Materials used - wood, non-toxic high quality acrylic paints, and non-toxic sealer.
